Dr. Tran was born and raised in Hokkaido, Japan. After graduating from Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in 1994, she moved to the United States.
Dr. Tran furthered her education at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine before moving to Virginia.
Her experience ranges from preventative medicine to emergency medicine and she is able to perform a variety of soft tissue surgeries. She specializes in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, utilizing both Eastern and Western medicine to heal her patients.
Dr. Tran is a member of American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Collage of Integrative Veterinary Therapies (CIVT), Veterinary Botanical Medical Association (VBMA), and American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture (AAVA).
Dr. Tran resides in Northern Virginia with her husband, a daughter, and a rescued French Bulldog named Geoffrey. She enjoys playing tennis and watching movies.
Becky has many years of experience with animals in a personal and professional setting. She grew up with dogs, horses, and Watsui cattle on a farm. She received a Certificate in Veterinary Assisting with emphasis in exotic animals, at the Florida International Teaching Zoo.
Becky has cared for many exotic animals at several Zoos including National Zoo in Washington DC. Before she moved to Virginia, she was a keeper/trainer for Marine mammals for 7 years at SeaWorld in Florida.
Becky lives with her husband and two sons, and two dogs. She enjoys family travel, hosting a family podcast, hiking, and professional pet sitting/dog walking.
Julie is back to Pearl Veterinary Hospital!
Julie used to work as a veterinary assistant before, as some of you may recall. As an office manager, she is handling internal affairs as well as client communications to smooth out our daily tasks. Her years of experience in management is a great asset to Pearl Veterinary Hospital.
She is a proud mother of 3 kids plus two furry children.
Michelle has been in the veterinary field for more than 10 years.
She had cared for many dogs and cats in kennels, and volunteered in a humane society before being a part of Pearl Vet Team. She is an oldest of four siblings; while she helps her younger family members, she also cares for her dog, Venus, and a newly adopted three-legged cat, Sphinx.
Kaylee has been a part of the Pearl Vet family since 2017. She graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Health Science and a minor in Business. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, paddleboarding, playing volleyball, and reading. Kaylee is currently attending the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in the class of 2026. She plans to study small animal medicine while focusing on general practice, oncology, and/or emergency medicine.
Diana is originally from Queens, New York, and grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. She earned her bachelors degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech in 2019. After graduation, she decided to pursue her passion for helping animals. With the experience gained at Pearl Veterinary Hospital, she was accepted to the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and began the study in the class of 2026. She likes to cuddle her sassy calico cat, Puchis, and spend time with her family. She loves travels and hike national parks.
Ella is soon to be a veterinary student in the class of 2028!
She has two Labrador retrievers and two cats. Her dream of becoming veterinarian is coming true, and she is very excited!
